Hi There, I am Kasia
Here you will find my personal story and how everything started.

'It is good to have an end to journey toward;
but it is the journey that matters, in the end'
-Ernest Hemingway
Let's talk about my very beginnings..

I was born and raised in a beautiful countryside in Poland. Upon finishing my high school I left to study in the UK; it was my long dream to study abroad. And it truly changed my life forever. I graduated with Honours in Psychology, met my adventurous husband and some time after that I had my two darling daughters, Ivy and Lia. Eventually, many years later we got to settle down in breath-taking South Africa. We are also now happy owners of few pets - Lily the cat, guinea pig Twinkle Star Bright, and Snowflake the snake. Outside of what I do, I create time to spend with family and friends, indulge in reading, exercise, share in volunteering work or unwind in the outdoors.

My drive towards helping others started way back when I did my Psychology degree. I was always curious about people and fascinated by mind, how it affects our body's function and behaviour. Only later in life my interest started to take roots in breastfeeding and perinatal support. Naturally, at first it stemmed from my own transformative birth and years of breastfeeding experiences. Both births were so totally different, first one felt like totally out of my control whilst the second was where I felt truly in power and confidence. It taught me tremendously about how shifting your mindset and getting yourself well informed can empower you to have the journey you were hoping for.

Over time my passion has blossomed further, the more I delved into what truly lies beyond what we normally see or are being told as women about birthing, lactation and postnatal life. We are so wonderfully made and I absolutely love seeing the powerful shift within of 'I Can Do It'!

Under current maternity system, especially in South Africa, which often priorities control over care and policies over people. I started seeing and hearing of too many moms, and their disempowering birth experiences or unsupported breastfeeding journey. It highly motivated me towards extending my overall support.
I have started with professional Mama Bamba Birth Doula training and certification, then followed with International Breastfeeding Counsellor certification. It's so close to my heart supporting and encouraging moms in gaining skills in the unique art of breastfeeding, which sometimes at first doesn't come naturally.

However, it simply didn't end there, as there are so many facets of motherhood. Hence, out of my interest in psychology, naturally I got pulled into the world of Postnatal Transition Coaching and towards still the very much under-valued Birth Reflections, which I think the majority of moms should consider postnatally to help process their birth.

I have seen and experienced it myself and I'm here to tell you that one of the most important things to take away from it all is, that those beginnings if experienced with genuine, continuous care and an open heart, they can turn to be be truly an empowering and positive experience!

I feel so inspired and motivated in knowing I can encourage, provide nurturing guidance for moms and their partners too. That's how my business name Beyond Bump came about, reflecting on everything that this wonderful, yet challenging at times journey into motherhood entails.

I can't wait to connect with you,
You don't have to work it all out by yourself.
Let's talk over a cup of coffee.
